New trailer for Netflix’s League of Legends show ‘Arcane’ releases

Netflix released a trailer for the League of Legends animated series ‘Arcane’ and revealed its official release date, November 6th. The series will come out in three separate ‘Acts.’ Each act will consist of three different episodes and acts will be released on a weekly basis. The first batch of episodes will release on November 6th while Acts two will release on 13th and third on 20th.

Arcane was first announced back in 2019. In their 10 year retrospective, Riot Games revealed a number of project their teams were working on besides their mainstay title, League of Legends. This included their current FPS title, VALORANT, an upcoming fighting game and notably an animated series.

In May, it was revealed that Netflix would host the series. The cast was only revealed last week and had several interesting headliners. Hailee Steinfield, the co-star in the upcoming Marvel series Hawkeye, will voice Vi. Arcane’s trailer featured several other well-known, playable characters from League of Legends. In the trailer we could see Caitlyn, Jayce, Vi, Jinx, and Heimerdinger.

The plot seems to take place in Piltover and Zaun, a steampunk layered city in Runeterra. While not much about the plot was revealed through the trailer, the story will seemingly be focused around Vi and her relationship with her sister, Jinx. Other characters will likely make extended appearances, but we can only wait and see. Netflix subscribers can watch the first act on November 6th.
