Na’Vi win the 2021 BLAST Premier World Final

After being knocked into the lower bracket in the first round of the tournament, Na’Vi clawed back to complete their third consecutive championship run. The CIS squad will now add the BLAST Premier World Finals trophy to its already extensive collection. Defeating both perennial rivals Team Vitality and their regional competitors in Gambit, it seems that Na’Vi’s ‘era’ in CS:GO will continue.

Natus Vincere claims the final trophy of the year

Na’Vi cruised past Vitality in the lower bracket final, sweeping the French squad to advance on to the grand finals. Gambit lead off with a strong start on Mirage (16-11). Efforts from Ax1Le and Nafany gave Gambit a comfortable lead throughout the map, though Gambit’s lead was quickly equalized.

Natus Vincere turned the tables on Gambit on Ancient (16-11), as S1mple took off in the game. Na’Vi built upon its momentum going into Inferno, which proved to be the most decisive game of the series and ended with a 16-6 landslide finish. S1mple had an MVP finish to the tournament, finding 77 frags, 103 ADR, and a 1.63 overall rating.

Alongside winning the trophy, S1mple was also crowned the BLAST Premier World Final MVP as well. Already one of the most decorated players in CS:GO, ending with .90 KPR, a 79.1% KAST, and a 1.42 average rating. Currently at the top of the CS:GO world, S1mple has lead his team seemingly in his prime more so than ever.
