Navi has no problem defeating Vitality for a spot in the Blast Premier grand final

Natus Vincere didn’t have a lot of trouble reaching the finals of the Blast Premier tournament after quickly disposing of Vitality in the semi-finals.

Navi won 16-7 on Inferno and 16-6 on Nuke to claim their spot in the finals. The hope of Vitality fans was quickly smashed after a promising start on Inferno, before being put away by the CIS powerhouse.

Despite being Vitality’s pick, it was Navi that took a quick 6-2 lead on their defensive half. The damage output went back and forth between the teams but it was Navi that was running away with the first half until a 1v3 clutch by Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut halted their momentum.

But as it goes with Navi, Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev was not ready to be bested by the Frenchman and leading his team to a 9-6 halftime lead.

Vitality could never muster any comeback and the French team had to try to win the series being 0-1 down.

On to Navi’s map pick of Nuke where they have proven to be near unbeatable. The big difference on this map was the number of opening kills going to Navi, allowing them to deploy an array of different tactics. Vitality could not handle the dynamics and fell victim to their static defensive strategies. ZywOo’s team could never claim any momentum and lost the second map 16-6, relegated to the consolation finals against Astralis.

Navi will play against the winner of Astralis versus Vitality in the grand finals later today at 19:30 CET.
