Na’Vi and G2 end the CS:GO Major Stockholm Legends on top

The PGL Major Stockholm 2021 has wrapped up its Legends stage as eight teams have made the cut. The Legends Stage was brimming with upsets and shocking results. Both North American teams were eliminated with only one win between them. The young guns on the Copenhagen Flames narrowly missed qualifications.

With countless more news-worthy storylines occurring in such a short period of time, these are the biggest takeaways from the PGL Legends Stage.

Three CIS teams qualify – but which one could win it?

Natus Vincere, Gambit, and Virtus.pro all made the cut for the knockouts stage of the PGL Major. All three of these teams have lifted trophies in the past year and been a significant part othe CIS’ sudden rise to the top.

Na’Vi are the clear favorites to win the entire tournament. The team entered the Major already hot and continued this streak by going 3-0 across the Legends Stage. With their primary fraggers, such as S1mple, still performing on point, it seems that little can step in their way.

Gambit dropped only a single game in their march toward playoffs, and similarly appear in top form. Though Virtus.pro struggled the most out of the three, however are not to be taken lightly moving into the knockouts stage.

Can G2 Esports win their first Major?

Ever since acquiring NiKo, G2 have shown incredible peaks and equally low valleys. The team has struggled to maintain consistency but have been able to keep pace with some of the top teams in the world.

The premier organization now enters the final part of the PGL Major undefeated and facing down the Swedish squad in Ninjas In Pyjamas. Though the G2 roster has a hard road in front of them, it is not impossible to think that this team could make a finals appearance.
