The Lock-In tournament coming up in the LCS is almost here, but multiple players from different teams have now reportedly tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. With Los Angeles being hit hard by the virus – and most of the teams being located there – the virus has now crept its way into the North American League of Legends scene at a bad time.
Inven Global reported that players from Counter Logic Gaming have tested positive for the virus. They’ll no longer be playing together in their office and will play from home. The news comes at a really bad time for CLG, who also see two of their players in the form of Finn “Finn” Wiestal and Mads “Broxah” Brock-Pedersen having issues securing their visa ahead of the new season. They’ll move around pieces from their academy team to compensate.
DIGNITAS:
Both staff members and team members have tested positive covid.
Players have been practicing from a team home.
Members who have tested positive or shown symptoms have been moved to a separate home.

Travis Gafford announced on Twitter that Dignitas was facing similar issues with both players and staff members of the team testing positive. No roster changes are expected for the lock-in tournament and almost all teams have decided to continue scrimming and are playing from home instead of their offices, Gafford reports.
Aside from most of the leagues going to a fully online format, League of Legends as a whole hasn’t suffered a lot due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Worlds 2020 took place in a bubble set up by Riot Games, making sure fans, teams and players wouldn’t miss out on the biggest event of the year. Riot hasn’t made a statement concerning the cases yet.
