Mithy has joined 100 Thieves’ coaching staff

100 Thieves announced that Mithy will join its already extensive coaching staff ahead of the 2022 LCS Spring Split. Former professional player and support in both the LCS and LEC joins the support staff alongside Reapered and Frosty.

Mithy transitioned into a coaching position in 2020 after a short and unsuccessful stint in North America with TSM. Coaching Fnatic for an entire year, Mithy returned to the LCS, though this time not as a player. As the head coach for the longtime NA team, Cloud9, Mithy won an LCS Championship and made a trip to both MSI and Worlds.

Now as a part of 100 Thieves, he hopes to build off of the organization’s recent success. After several years in the LCS, 100 Thieves managed to pick up its first LCS title in the 2021 Summer Playoffs. The team has since managed to retain its entire roster for the 2022 season. Though expected to split time in the toplane between Ssumday and Tenacity, 100 Thieves aim to recreate the same spark that won them a title in 2021.

Cloud9 is current has several vacancies in its coaching staff. Though Max Waldo is reported to remain with the organization, it has lost both its head coach and assistant coach as Reignover departed after two years with the team. Following its acquistion of Berserker, Summit, and Winsome, the team had reportedly showed interest in picking up League of Legends creator and analyst LS.

Though no official signings have been made, Cloud9 will have to find a new head coach to go along with its entirely new look for the LCS 2022 Spring Split.
