MAD Lions sign Reignover as positional coach

MAD Lions have announced that former pro jungler Reignover will join the team as a positional coach. This news comes just shortly after the start of the 2022 LEC Spring Split, where MAD Lions have had an excellent start to the year so far.

The South Korean jungler will return to Europe after a nearly six year hiatus in North America. As a player, Reignover is most well known for his time on Fnatic where the upstart team won domestically and made a Worlds appearance. After moving to the LCS the jungler played across several squads including Immortals, Team Liquid, and CLG.

In 2019, Reignover transitioned to a coaching role with Cloud9. Under the jungler’s stewardship, Cloud9 saw tremendous success as the team won two domestic titles and made a Worlds quarter-finals appearance in 2021. Though taking a backseat in Cloud9 later in his tenure, the accomplished coach will return to the main stage under a new banner.

MAD Lions were forced to rebuild its roster in the recent offseason after the departures of Humanoid and Carzzy. So far, the recent additions of Reeker and Unforgiven have had surprisingly strong starts with the addition of Reignover only likely to bolster the team’s support staff.

Working with excellent junglers such as Svenskeren and Blaber, Reignover will now be the coach backup for Elyoya. Already one of the best junglers in Europe, the team will hope to make its superstar jungler even more dominant with the addition of a positional coach.
