Ludwig breaks Ninja’s Twitch subscriber record, ends subathon after 31 days of streaming

Popular streamer Ludwig’s subathon has finally come to an end after 31 days of streaming, during which he broke Ninja’s all-time subscriber record.

Ludwig had already announced on Twitter that his subathon would be ending on Tuesday april 13, also announcing that for every subscriber he’d get that day, he would be donating $5 to charity. The final day of his livestream, and the subathon as a whole was an enormous success, with Ludwig eventually surpassing the all-time subscriber record of Tyler “Ninja” Blevins who had over 269.000 subscribers. Ludwig would end up with over 280.000.

The subathon of Ludwig has been going ever since March 14 of 2021. For every subscriber he’d gain, the length of his stream would be extended. After 31 days straight of streaming, Ludwig finally put an end to the broadcast. During the livestream Ludwig could be seen gaming, eating and sleeping, basically broadcasting everything he did.

A big part of the money he raised during the livestream will be going to charity as well as his moderators, who helped moderate the chat as well as hosted a sort of “moderator podcast” to keep people entertained while Ludwig slept. Ludwig already announced he’ll be taking a break to recover, but he’ll be back to streaming on Monday.
