LUCAS1, leo_drk and VSM leave MIBR

What was expected by many has now also come true, as Leonardo “leo_drk” Oliveira, Vinicius “vsm” Moreira and Lucas “LUCAS1” Teles are leaving MIBR. Coach Raphael “cogu” Camargo will also no longer be a part of the Brazilian organization, who now once again have to rebuild their roster.

MIBR announced the departure of their players and coach on Twitter, thanking them for their services. “We are really proud of what you showed at the end of the season and how well you carried the feeling of being MIBR. We’d like to stay together, we did our best, but unfortunately it won’t be possible this time.” The contract of the players reportedly ran out as a new deal couldn’t be reached.

With LUCAS1, leo_drk and VSM in their roster, MIBR managed to secure some solid results. They reached the quarterfinals of the BLAST Premier Fall 2020 showdown before being eliminated by Team Liquid and secured fourth place in Flashpoint Season 2, falling to OG in the lower bracket after eliminating MAD Lions.

Not much remains of the MIBR roster now, with only Vito “kNgV” Giuseppe and Alencar “trk” Rossato left. It seems like MIBR is still struggling to hold on to a roster following the fallout and benching of Epitacio “TACO” de Melo, Fernando “fer” and Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo. It’ll be interesting to see where MIBR will look next as they rebuild their roster once more.
