LoL: Wild Rift gameplay and further details revealed

In a recent developer diary for League of Legends Wild Rift Riot Games has revealed further details and gameplay of the upcoming port of LoL to mobile devices.

Riot has announced that League of Legends Wild Rift will soon enter Alpha, which will be accessible by Brazilian and Filipino fans in June. On May 29 they accordingly revealed more details and gameplay for the mobile port.

Changes to Gameplay and Map

Although Wild Rift is supposed to feel very familiar to longtime LoL-players, Riot has decided to change several aspects of the game for mobile. One of the changes will be a smaller map to increase the pace of games in Wild Rift. The mobile version also removed inhibitors and nexus towers. Instead super minions will spawn after bringing down the opposing inhibitor turret while the nexus will now attack enemy players.

Another larger change is the reduction of the level cap to 15 and a different system for runes. Items will also see adjustments in the mobile version. Alongside other changes the aim is to reduce the average time spent on a match to 15 to 20 minutes
