Even though Cloud9 had said their roster would stay the same next year, they’re planning to move top laner Eric “Licorice” Ritchie as he won’t be part of the team in 2021. They reportedly are also looking to promote their Academy head coach Kim “Reignover” Yeu-jin and top laner Ibrahim “Fudge” Allami to the main roster.
Cloud9 also confirmed that their assistant coach Jung “RapidStar” Min-sung will depart the organization after more than two years. RapidStar will return to South Korea where he will complete his military service, which is mandatory. Their head coach, Bok “Reapered” Han-gyu already left the organisation when the Summer Split concluded, with Cloud9 looking to shake things up.

Top laner Licorice will also have to look out for a new team for the upcoming season. He talked about the situation on Twitter. “Cloud9 told me last week that I won’t be a part of the team in 2021. To fill up the empty spaces academy head coach Kim “Reignover” Yeu-jin and top laner Ibrahim “Fudge” Allami will be promoted to the main team, according to Jacob Wolf (ESPN). With imports from the OCE region now no longer considered imports in the LCS following the OPL disbanding, this means Fudge won’t take up an import slot.
