Lemondogs reveal new CS:GO roster featuring twist and znajder

The infamous Swedish organization Lemondogs has announced three new players to fill out their roster with some well known names.

Lemondogs will compete with this lineup in the upcoming Eliteserien and Fragleague seasons. Only two players remain from the roster that made the Eliteserien playoffs last season,  Jonas “hemzk9” Rantamäki and Jerry “xelos” Råberg. Joining them are CS:GO veterans Simon “twist” Eliasson, Andreas “MODDII” Fridh, and Andreas “znajder” Lindberg.

twist wasted no time finding another team, after being released from Ninjas In Pyjamas at the beginning of February. Simon had been with the team since October 2019. MODDI and znajdar however have been away from competitive gaming for a while, with their last top competitive teams preceding twist’s joining of NIP. MODDI’s last competitive team Heroic dates all the way back to December 2018.

There’s no denying the wealth of experience the new trio brings to the team, and it will be very interesting to see how they perform. The team will mainly be competing for fun according to Fridh as some of the players will maintain a full-time job outside of the organization. The announcement came hours before Lemondogs kicked off their Eliteserien run with a matchup against Young Ninjas, the farm team of Ninjas In Pyjamas, which they won.

People went on Twitter to discuss the news, and the genuine excitement for this lineup was met with “retirement home” comments and people who just couldn’t believe znajder was on a team again.  If Lemondogs’ goal was to create a buzz around the CS:GO team, they certainly succeeded.
