It’s been quite a while since we’ve seen the teams play in the studio, but LAN seems to be returning for the LEC playoffs.
The LEC went on to release a statement saying they’ll be playing the playoffs in the studio after a period of over a year of online matches due to the COVID-19 pandemic. “we’re finally able to move LEC play back to being broadcast from the main stage. We’re tremendously excited to welcome the league’s top teams back into the studio for what promises to be an explosive set of matches.”

To make sure all players and staff are safe, the LEC put some measures in place to ensure their health. “All parts of the studio will be thoroughly and regularly disinfected, and all persons not on-air will be required to wear masks at all times. Additionally, everyone entering the studio will be required to bring an up-to-date negative COVID test.”
The LEC isn’t the first league where matches are already back to normal as the LPL already returned to the studio. Riot Games of course also utilized a bubble system to make sure Worlds 2020 was being played offline, with the players and staff going into quarantine beforehand to ensure everyone’s safety. It’ll be a welcome change to finally see all the teams compete for first place in the studio once more.
