League of Legends patch 11.7 targets support champions, Essence Reaver and Everfrost nerfed

The newest League of Legends patch 11.7 brings changes to popular items Essence Reaver and Everfrost, while some popular champions are also on the chopping block.

When it comes to the nerfs to champions Alistar, Rell and Thresh are some notable names, all three being toned down following their huge presence in competitive play. The patch also brings nerfs to Hecarim, Ivern and Udyr in the jungle, while powerful marksmen such as Kai’Sa and Tristana are toned down after being deemed too strong.

Some much needed buffs were also given out, most notably to champions such as Amumu, Braum, Yasuo and Ashe. Some less notable champs such as Lissandra, Teemo and Mordekaiser also see a buff. The changes to jungler Kindred, with an increase in Q bonus damage and a lower cooldown on her E, might push her back to the forefront.

In the item category Riot Games deems Essence Reaver and Everfrost too strong, as they overshadow other options, nerfing them both. The former with a cost increase and damage decrease, while the latter also sees a damage reduction alongside an increased cooldown for Glaciate. Lord Dominik’s Regards sees a similar nerf to Essence Reaver. Items such as Turbo Chemtank and Serylda’s Grudge got a slight buff, while Trinity Force saw a decrease in attack speed, but an increase in damage and tweak to it’s passive.
