League of Legends Patch 11.10 Preview – Focus on jungle changes, Riftmaker and Rageblade buffs

In the newest patch preview, Gameplay Design Director Mark Yetter showed some of Riot’s planned changes.

Yetter starts by saying that the upcoming patch will be a bit lighter when it comes to the champion side of things, as the focus rests more on the proposed jungle changes that are currently being tested on the PBE. These jungle changes have been a controversial topic within the community, but Riot feels they need to change up the role as it has notoriously lacked popularity in solo queue.

Champions to be nerfed are the usual suspects, with the likes of Jinx and Darius on the chopping block. Thresh is facing yet another nerf, alongside Bard. Strong solo queue champions such as Katarina and Talon will also be toned down a little. When it comes to buffs we spot mages such as Lux and Zyra, while Yuumi will also be buffed up. The buffs to champions like Kennen and Kayle are also long overdue.

Items that are to be buffed are Riftmaker, Abyssal Mask, Guinsoo’s Rageblade and a Goredrinker adjustment. No nerfs to items have been specified within the patch preview yet. Riot is seemingly giving some love to AP bruisers as well as some of their items. Champions like Kennen, Mordekaiser and Kayle might become a little more relevant.
