The first two matches in the LCS Lock-In tournament playoffs are over, as both 100 Thieves and Cloud9 managed to secure victories over Immortals and TSM respectively.
It seems like 100 Thieves will be one of the forces to be reckoned with in the upcoming LCS season, as they once again showed their dominance in a convincing 2-0 victory over Immortals. We once again saw great performances from their bot laner Ian “FBI” Huang on Xayah and Kai’Sa respectively. Jungler Closer also showed up in both games with an especially dominant showing on Graves in their second game.

The series between Cloud9 and TSM turned out to be a lot more back-and-forth. TSM breezed past Cloud9 in their first game, with Jungler Spica’s Nidalee being a key factor, while PowerOfEvil came out on top against Perkz in the mid lane on Lucian. Cloud9 immediately retalliated with a stomp of their own in game 2, featuring a brilliant game by bot laner Zven on Kai’Sa. It all came down to game 3, in a hard-fought match which took almost 40 minutes to complete. This time top laner Fudge dominated TSM top laner Huni on his Camille pick, while Zven once again showed up, this time with a Sivir pick.

100 Thieves and Cloud9 will meet up in the semifinals in what is to be quite an interesting game, with both teams regarded as top contenders. Up next in the quarterfinals are Evil Geniuses taking on Golden Guardians, while Team Liquid battles FlyQuest. These games are both played later today at 22:00 and 01:00 CET respectively (GMT+1).
