As the group stage of the pre-season LCS Lock-In tournament comes to an end, we now know the teams that’ll be playing each other in the playoff stage.
The two teams that didn’t make the cut are Counter Logic Gaming and Dignitas, who ended up in last place of their respective groups. The result was especially surprising when looking at CLG, who overhauled their roster and looked like a solid contender ahead of the tournament, but clearly have quite a few issues they still need to resolve. Dignitas, despite picking up a win against FlyQuest in their first game, struggled to keep up.

The first match sees 100 Thieves playing Immortals. The former has shown their roster has serious potential, reaching first place, while Immortals has struggled more, barely reaching playoffs. The series between Cloud9 and TSM should also be interesting. Cloud9 hasn’t looked as dominant as expected, while TSM wasn’t able to really leave their mark, going 2-2 in groups.
Evil Geniuses, one of the biggest surprises during the LCS lock-in tournament, will play Golden Guardians, who despite fielding a mostly unproven roster have shown at least some potential. Our final matchup is the one between Team Liquid, who still look like a top team in the LCS, and FlyQuest, who secured their playoff spot after going 2-0 on the final day of group stage matches.
