Latest images of new Warzone map Caldera show big changes ahead of launch

Fans have been waiting a long time for the new Pacific-centered map to hit Warzone, and their patience will soon be rewarded. Caldera is planned to hit Warzone on December 9, with owners of Call of Duty: Vanguard able to access it a day earlier.

After all the time players spent on Verdansk, the change of scenery is more than welcomed by the community. Most of the information we have stemmed back from the Secrets of the Pacific Warzone event, which showed a Caldera that was significantly bigger than the current map Verdansk.

Combined with multiple river streams the map showed early signs of potential diverse gameplay.

The latest leaked images show an entirely different map, though. The river and water seem to have disappeared, and the map has become smaller.

Combine that with a chunk of land in the northwest that has been removed, and you have a map that doesn’t look at all like the Caldera we saw before.

These changes don’t appear to frighten the community, as players are just happy to have the opportunity to explore new POIs, regardless of map size. With names like Phosphor Mines and Ancient Structures, Caldera surely deserves your curiosity, nay, your attention.
