Kingdom Hearts’ Sora is the final Super Smash Bros. Fighter for Ultimate

It has been almost three years since the release of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in December 2018. Since then Nintendo has constantly added new characters to its star-studded roster.

The Final DLC Character for Ultimate

Capping off the development cycle of Ultimate, the final “Mr. Sakurai presents” announced Sora, protagonist of the Kingdom Hearts series, as the final DLC Character to join the battle. One of the most-requested characters ever since the series became popular October 18 will finally see the keyblade holder implemented in the game as part of the Challenger Pack 11.

Sora will wield his keyblade for melee attacks, but also has his classic magic attacks like Firaga, Thundaga or Blizzaga.

Now boasting a roster of more than 80 different fighters, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is truly one of the biggest crossovers in gaming history. As is customary Sora’s release will be accompanied by music and a stage from Kingdom Hearts. The stage will be the familar Hollow Bastion from Kingdom Hearts and nine songs from Kingdom Hearts will be ported over to Smash Bros.

The final Fighter DLC for Smash Bros. Ultimate will also feature a fresh set of costumes for Mii Fighters. This time featuring Doom’s Doom Slayer, Splatoon’s Octoling and a cat named Judd.

Kingdom Hearts ported to Nintendo Switch

To truly celebrate Sora’s addition to Smash Bros. Nintendo has also announced that three Kingdom Hearts titles will also jump over to Switch as cloud versions.

While them being cloud versions will be a disappointment to many fans, at least there is some way to play the mainline games now on the Switch.
