Karrigan on coaching bug – “It was stupid!”

In the sixth episode of our CS:GO Talk “GooseEck” we invited three well-known guests for a 2020 review. Among other things, we were able to talk to mousesports’ karrigan about the coaching-exploit of his former coach.

In the latest Episode of “GooseEck” we reviewed CS:GOs 2020 joining Finn “karrigan” Andersen, the IGL of team mousesports, Christian Lenz, team manager of BIG Clan, and Unicorns of Love coach Alexander “kakafu” Szymanczyk.

One of the biggest topics of the year was the coaching scandal. karrigan and his mousesports colleagues were also affected, as their former coach Allan “Rejin” Petersen declared that he used the exploit a few years ago.

“It was kinda stupid”

“Rejin first tried to help everyone who was supposed to be banned, and then he told us that he himself was affected,” karrigan explains. “He wrote to us, ‘Guys I fucked up!’ I did the same thing three years ago, but forgot all about it.”

Although this happened before joining mousesports, the organization had to part ways with Rejin. The suspension simply lasts too long.

“It’s actually a bit stupid how it all went down. […] He was a good coach and also had a lot of success within mousesports. But when it comes to something like this, you just have to take a step in a different direction,” karrigan concludes.
