Just Error – SumaiL teams up with Ex-Virtus.Pro to form new team

After several weeks of rumours it is now official. American star player SumaiL is teaming up with some of CIS’ best to form a new contender for Dota 2’s throne.

In the end it was a tweet from EPICENTER that finally let the cat out of the bag. Announcing Just Error as direct invites for the playoff match to determine the last spot in EPIC League the tournament organizer revealed the new roster.

Ever since his departue from OG SumaiL had been the best free agent in the Dota 2 scene. Now he has teamed up with the remnants of the legendary Virtus.Pro team that dominated the scene from 2017-2019 to form a new all-star team. Solo, Zayac and None had recently been let go of Virtus.Pro after a string of disappointing results that saw sister team Virtus.Pro Prodigy promoted to the main team.

Just Error invited to decider match

They have been immediately invited to the closed qualifier stage of one of the largest online tournaments and seeded into the final decider match against Yellow Submarine, who lost to mudgolems on November 10.

While fans will be glad to see the new team in action immediately, some members of the scene have criticized Epic Esports’ perceived lack of competitive integrity. As a team with no officials on record before the Best of 5 to determine the last participant of Epic League’s Division 1, they had quite the competitive advantage over Yellow Submarine.

Just Error proceeded to win the match 3-1 and qualified for the first Division by playing 4 maps compared to Yellow Submarines, who in total had to play 19 maps to fall short on the final stretch.

The upcoming groupstage of the Epic League will show whether or not Just Error deserved the fast track treatment over Yellow Submarines, who will have to continue their grind in the second division.

Just Error Roster:

  1. Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev
  2. Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan
  3. Vladimir “None” Minenko
  4. Bakyt “Zayac” Emilzhanov
  5. Alexey “Solo” Berezin
