Jackinho signs with Fnatic

As Robin “flusha” rönnquist left the roster, Fnatic was in need of a new player to fill the void. They have now a suitable replacement in the form of Swedish AWPer Jack “Jackinho” Ström Mattsson, a 21-year-old who has shown great promise in domestic leagues and competitions.

Fnatic posted an announcement video to announce the signing of the new AWPer. There Jackinho talks about signing for the organization and filling the shoes left by flusha. “Joining Fnatic, wow. I’m really honored and I’m really proud. I’ve dreamt of playing for Fnatic. Obviously Flusha is an amazing player and a very experienced player, someone I have a lot of respect for. I will try my best to contribute with my strengths the best way I can.

In a twitlonger he posted to his Twitter page, Jackinho gives some more behind-the-scenes information on the move. “Ever since I decided that this is what I want I’ve been grinding every single day and it hasn’t been easy. There were people around me who questioned if my dreams and ambitions were healthy or even achievable but I always knew what I wanted and I put everything else aside and dedicated all my efforts to reach this level.”

The Swedish player is best known for his prowess with the AWP but chances are he’ll try out other roles first according to current Fnatic AWPer Jesper “JW” Wecksell, who confirms the AWP role will remain with him as of now.
