Is Twitch finally cracking down on Hot Tub Streams?

The controversial Hot Tub trend on Twitch is far from over, but it seems like the streaming platform has finally decided to move against it. Amouranth is probably the most infamous Hot Tub streamer on Twitch and has now received a pretty indicative message from Twitch.

In her tweet she claims, that Twitch removed all advertising revenue from her channel without warning and for an indefinite amount of time. The reason cited by Twitch was “not advertiser friendly” content. Amourant has become famous for skirting the guidelines in regards to sexual content on Twitch for a long time now and usually entertains 10,000 to 20,000 viewers on her channel.

Although these streams have generated a large number of viewers, many personalities in the Twitch community have heavily criticized them.

Although Amouranth’s monetization was cut, she has not been banned by Twitch. It remains to be seen if the streaming platform is really trying to curtail the trend.
