Is olofmeister planning a move to VALORANT?

Veteran Counter-Strike player Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer Gustafsson might be planning a move to VALORANT in the near future.

According to reports by Polish website Weszlo, Olofmeister is currently testing out playing for the VALORANT team of Fnatic, where he’d join up with some Polish players. For Fnatic, it’s no surprise they are trying out new things following the disappointing results lately, as they missed out on Stage 2 Challengers 1 through the open qualifier. The SUMN FC roster that Fnatic signed to compete for them in VALORANT, hasn’t been able to step up so far.

Fnatic already went on to make adjustments to the roster following the disappointing results in the Open Qualifier, moving Kostas “tsack” Theodoropoulas and Muhammad “moe40” Harif to the bench. This means the roster is currently looking for two new players, which is where Olofmeister would come in. Olofmeister is currently still a member of FaZe Clan and competed for them again as a stand-in, but he’s back on the bench as of early February.

Olofmeister is also no stranger to Fnatic, having played on their CS:GO roster for over three years ranging from 2014 to 2017 as a key piece of the very succesful team, helping them to two Major wins. It’ll be interesting to see if Olofmeister (and Fnatic) are willing to make the jump and if he’ll be able to put his experience to use in a new game.
