Is Nitr0 returning to Team Liquid’s CS:GO team?

Nitr0 is reportedly in talks to return to Team Liquid’s CS:GO roster, his old team and esport of choice before moving to VALORANT. 100 Thieves acquired Nitr0 only one year ago to compete in VALORANT, though this could be a short-lived experiment for the FPS player.

The former Team Liquid captain was one of the first active CS:GO players to make the move to Riot’s tactical shooter competitor. Though 100 Thieves managed to compete at the top of the North American league, even making an appearance at Masters Berlin, the squad failed to make VCT Champions. Now, following the PGL Major we could see Nitr0 return to his roots.

If he returns, Nitr0 will reunite with EliGe. Alongside the legacy North American player, the two have won nine total international LAN tournaments under the Team Liquid banner. Currently, Team Liquid are in the midst of a massive roster overhaul. Both Stewie and FalleN are considering their options after Team Liquid’s shortcoming at the PGL Stockholm Major. According to several reports, Grim and NAF are not included in Liquid’s 2022 plans.

The organization seems to be going for an international roster as VINI of Furia and Shox from Vitality are being considered for the future lineup. If Nitr0 re-joins the team, only one slot will be left. It is unclear whether TL will pursue a dedicated AWPer or swap one of these players to the position. Either way, it seems that Nitr0 is included in the CS:GO lineup and is set to leave VALORANT.
