The North American esports organization Immortals has decided to make some changes to their VALORANT rosters as they release both Jason “neptune” Tran and Jason “jmoh” Mohandessi. This leaves their roster in need of two more players.
Immortals announced the news on Twitter, thanking both jmoh and neptune for their commitment. “Heading into 2021, we’re parting ways with neptune and jmoh. We’re grateful to have had them on the team, and we’re wishing them the best.”

Looking for replacements
Both players arrived at Immortals in the middle of October following the departure of Yannick “KOLER” Blanchette to NR and, Peter “Asuna” Mazuryk and Quan “diceyzx” Tran to 100 Thieves. With both neptune and jmoh in their roster Immortals was able to reach the Grand Final of the NSGxRenegades Invitational, eventually losing out to Andbox. Later they’d go on to compete in First Strike North America where they played Team Envy in the quarterfinals, losing 0-2.
It’s currently not clear which players Immortals is looking to recruit to fill the empty positions. Immortals currently has three players left in their roster: Amgalan “Genghsta” Nemekhbayar, Noah “jcStani” Smith and Andrew “ShoT_UP” Orlowksi. ShoT_UP joined the organisation at the same time as jmoh and neptune but currently remains on the roster. Immortals still has quite some time to find a replacement, with competitive play only resuming in February with the VALORANT Champions Tour.
