Attributes play a central role in Elden Ring as they influence which weapons and equipment players can use. That makes it doubly frustrating if you notice you leveled the wrong attributes later in the game or if you want to try a different build. Fret not, you can easily change your attributes.
Where do you respec your attributes?
In order to do so you need to go to the second region in Elden Ring, Liurnia. There you can find the second major boss of the story, Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon. You need to have advanced past her bossfight to unlock respec’ing in Elden Ring.
Once you have defeated her, you can interact with her and she offers you the possibility to be “born anew”. Agreeing to that allows players to respec their attributes in exchange for a Larval Tear.
Where can you find Larval Tears?
Larval Tears are spread throughout the Lands Between and can be found multiple times, allowing you to respec more than once. You can find them in the places marked by a purple pin in the map below:

There is one more Larval Tear that can be found underground. You can access that area through Siofra River Well. It is located north of the Site of Grace found on the westernside of Haight Fortress in Limegrave next to the large tree. You need to cross that area and board the lift up again. On the scaffolding around the bridge there you can find the Larval Tear.
