How to play Payload – The new Warzone Season 4 Reloaded game mode

It’s time to shake up how you experience Verdansk in Payload, the newest game mode that just arrived in Season 4 Reloaded.
What is it?

First off, Payload is the first objective-based game mode to come to Warzone. Briefly summarized, the idea is to either protect a payload and move it to different checkpoints. This means that the team that’s on the attack wins the game if they manage to get the vehicles through the checkpoints before time runs out. If the defending team can prevent this within the given timeframe, they win. Sounds easy enough, right?

How does it play (and how do you win)?

In any case Payload is bound to give you some chaotic fun, pitting two teams of 20 players each against each other, things might get a little hectic and there are a few fun twists to keep things interesting. Much like in the traditional Warzone matches, players will be dropping in and can look for more loot, money, weapons and other stuff to help them achieve their goal.

The teams who are defending also have a few extra tricks to their disposal. They’re able to buy certain obstacles to make sure the convoy has trouble reaching its destination, slowing them down and potentially ambushing the attackers. In any case, either defending or attacking, the key to securing the victory is coordination and teamplay, which makes Payload great to play with a couple of friends.

Some quick tips

Being proactive and putting focus on versatility will be essential in Payload. As the defending team, make sure to make good use of your killstreaks and don’t waste them. Also make sure to pick the right loadout for the situation. You don’t want to be stuck with a shotgun in a long-range gunfight. The same goes for the attacking team, as they’ll have to make sure they’ve got the right equipment to stand guard. Setting up some traps might work well.
