How to make your LAN COVID-free: WePlay AniMajor 2021 shows security and safety measures

Ahead of the upcoming AniMajor 2021, WePlay shared their security and safety measures to keep the staff, participating teams and participating players safe.

In a Reddit thread WePlay Esports showcased the security and safety measures they have in place to prevent players and staff from contracting and spreading the COVID-19 virus. Some of them are obvious, such as providing players and staff with masks, gloves and sanitizer, while also going the extra mile. For example: all exits and entrances are equipped with devices to measure body temperatures to catch out any possible cases early.

When it comes to the players, WePlay is providing all of them with a seperate practice room, which feature “a bactericidal air recirculation system, as well as everything necessary for the players’ comfort”. There’s a doctor present 24/7 to help out with any issues that may arise, with the option of getting a coronavirus test at any time. “Every day, the body temperature of every player is measured. Players and all involved personnel perform PCR tests and express tests twice per week.”

Aside from signs reminding players to respect guidelines, there’s also a seperate restaurant specifically for players and employees to minimize outside contact, as well as a delivery system for purchases by the players and staff to prevent exposure.
