HHezerS claims win after lower bracket comeback in FIFA 21 Global Series EU Qualifier 2

It was a solid tournament for Lucio “HHezerS” Vecchione, who managed to win the FIFA 21 Global Series EU Qualifier 2 after a fierce comeback. With the win he secured a spot in the European Playoffs.

Things looked very dire for HHezerS as he fell to the lower bracket at the hands of Thomas “Tom” Leese in the upper bracket semifinals. Despite this, HHezerS fought his way through the lower bracket, eventually finding himself up against Tom once more in the lower bracket finals. This time things ended up differently, with the Italian ending up on top and securing a spot in the Grand Final, where he’d face Swedish player Unsal.

It looked like HHezerS was on a warpath, choking out Unsal with tightly knit combinations and not giving him the space to play his usual game. After two victories, HHezerS crowned himself as the Global Series EU Qualifier 2 winner, taking home 15.000 dollars in earnings alongs 1.500 Global Series points. Unsal, who ended up in second place, won 12.000 dollars in prize money and 1.200 Global Series points.

There are still three more qualifiers for the playoffs coming up, where players can earn either straight qualification or enough Global Series points to enter. Following the playoffs FIFA moves on to the eWorld Cup, where the best players in the world will battle for the crown.
