Heroic bench niko and b0RUP, sign sjuush and refrezh in big roster overhaul

Heroic is changing up their roster as they bench both niko and b0RUP, to bring both sjuush and refrezh from MAD Lions on board.

Heroic first announced they’d be changing up the roster by benching niko and b0RUP, which they talked about in a statement they released on Twitter. “Effective immediately, niko and b0RUP have been benched and are no longer a part of our active roster. We would like to thank them for their time and great effort with the team and we wish them nothing but the best for their future endeavors.”

Shortly after the news regarding niko and b0RUP, the organization went on to announce that they’ve signed both sjuush and refrezh, who will be coming over from MAD Lions. Heroic captain Casper “cadiaN” Møller talked about the signing and changes on the Heroic website. “We have had a successful run with the last roster but we feel that we can come even further with these changes to the team. Being in this situation, we are very happy that the new Heroic is capable of providing these changes so quickly, for the bettering of the team. I’m very excited to see this happen, and I’m confident both new players will work great in Heroic.”

It’s a big change for Heroic, who saw great success with their previous roster, most notably at ESL One Cologne 2020 Europe and DreamHack Open Fall 2020. MAD Lions is now also left with only three players on their roster and will have to look elsewhere for replacements.
