Hacking remains a problem: Tencent bans over 3.8 million hackers in PUBG Mobile

It’s no secret that PUBG Mobile is one of those games that struggles with hackers, as Tencent banned over 3.8 million hackers in just a week.

The data stems from June 18 to June 24, as Tencent ended up banning a total of 3,883,690 hackers. Considering what we already know, these kinds of numbers are not unusual, once again showing the problem PUBG Mobile has with hackers. Not to say all hackers are using auto-aim hacks, as most of the bans were dealt out (over 75%) for players altering their character models. The game especially sees a lot of cheating in the higher ranks of competition.

This is the breakdown of hackers based on the offense they committed.

  • Modification of character model (76%)
  • X-Ray Vision (5%)
  • Speed hacks (5%)
  • Modification of area damage (4%)
  • Auto-aim hacks (2%)
  • Other (8%)

The number of people that got banned for hacking did go up significantly compared to the report of last week, which showed that 2.5 million people ended up banned by Tencent. PUBG Mobile recently posted a video to their social media and in the game which explained why it’s dangerous to cheat and when and where to report players that you suspect might be cheating.
