Fortnite Champion Bugha receives warning for collusion in Fortnite Champion Series

In recent months, Epic Games has been actively looking to punish and ban cheaters in Fortnite with multiple players, even top level ones, receiving bans. Now popular streamer and Fortnite World  Cup Champion Kyle ”Bugha” Giersdorf has received a warning from Epic Games.

The warnings came after clips were shared of Bugha and Owl, the latter also being accused of collusion, who were talking during a solo tournament. While talking they’re openly sharing callouts and information while, supposedly, sitting in the same Discord call. Following the clips and accusations, Owl has also received a warning from Epic Games.

Bugha himself took to Twitter to react to the accusation and the clips that surfaced of him and Owl. According to him no information was shared and their microphone and headset were deafened for most of the time. He also says they’ve encountered each other multiple times during the game and that the clip that’s been shared on Twitter was taken mostly out of context.

Later Owl also responded to accusations after receiving a warning. He made a video where he talks about them. “Do your research before blindly giving players real competitive warnings of teaming that can hurt their brand. There’s many more situations but can’t fit them into the video.”

It’s not the first time that Bugha had some trouble with teaming accusations after being accused of teaming in the Fortnite Champion Series semifinals. with Joji and Inspyre. Currently, Bugha only received a warning from Epic Games and no action will be taken towards him.
