Fortnite champion Bugha re-signs with Sentinels for 2 more years

Big news in the Fortnite esports scene, as Fornite World Champion Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf (18) re-signs with organization Sentinels. The organization announced the news on Twitter yesterday as Bugha celebrated his 18th birthday. He has been with Sentinels since March 2019.

The signing of Bugha isn’t only about Fortnite for Sentinels. The young gaming star has recently made a bigger name for himself, heading up big marketing deals with different brands within the gaming sphere as well as still being of the most-watched and most-subscribed Fortnite Twitch streamers on the platform with over 3.7 million followers. On his YouTube channel, he currently amassed 3.6 million subscribers.

At 16 years of age Bugha won the Fortnite World Cup (Solo) and took home more than 3 million dollars in prize money, immediately making him one of the biggest earners in 2019. Aside from winning the Fortnite World Cup he also had some top finishes during the Fortnite Championship Series and placed second at the DreamHack Open back in September.

Bugha will remain the Fortnite World Champion for at least one more year, as Epic Games decided that there’ll be no World Cup scheduled (or in-person events for that matter) in 2020. Earlier this month they also confirmed there’ll be no events scheduled for 2021 either.
