Former professional Smash player ZeRo files defamation lawsuit against former roommate Jisu

According to a report by DotEsports, Gonzalo “ZeRo” Barrios goes on to say that the claims that were made by his former roommate Jacqueline “Jisu” Choe were damaging to his career and led to him losing his ties to Tempo Storm, his Twitch channel and Facebook Gaming. In the lawsuit ZeRo also claims that the allegations made against him by Jisu are false, which include claims of ZeRo physically abusing his now wife Vanessa and that she was underage when they started dating.

Jisu responded to the lawsuit on Twitter, where a GoFundMe was set up to help cover up the costs that the lawsuit would bring with it. “Last year I used my platform to expose his sexual abuse of children. He admitted it but now denies it and claims he lost his career because of me, not because he’s a pedophile. […] I’ve talked to many lawyers and this WILL be costly. It’s a huge defect in our legal system, but having less funds than the opposing side severely limits my options.“

While ZeRo admitted to the allegations earlier on, he has since retracted those and denied allegations of sexual misconduct, which according to him were a result of him being suicidal and that he was suffering a mental breakdown.
