FlyQuest reveals its 2022 LCS roster

FlyQuest announced on Twitter its full starting roster for the 2022 LCS Spring Split. The team will field Kumo, Josedeodo, Toucouille, Johnsun, and Aphromoo. After making consecutive LCS Finals in 2020, the team struggled immensely in 2021. Finishing near the bottom of the rankings and failing to qualify for playoffs, FlyQuest is looking to rebound.

Kumo formerly played on the FlyQuest Academy roster, but will now see time on the starting squad. Previously Kumo played as a the starting toplaner for Evil Geniuses, but will get a second chance on this new iteration of FlyQuest. Josedeodo will be one of the only two returning players from the 2021 roster. The Argentinian jungler was acquired in the 2020 offseason after his Worlds run with Rainbow6.

Toucouille will fill the void in the midlane left by Palafox. The French midlaner is coming from the LFL, where he has played for a majority of his career. Making his debut outside of the ERLs, Toucouille is largely considered the biggest unknown in this 2022 FlyQuest roster.

The veteran support player Aphromoo is reuniting with returning ADC Johnsun on FlyQuest. The two had previously played together on Dignitas before Johnsun moved to FlyQuest at the beginning of 2021. Aphromoo is coming off of a mixed season in Dignitas. Though he managed to lead a squad of primarily rookies to an impressive regular season in Spring, the team seemingly fell apart in both playoffs and the Summer Split.

While the team is still building out its academy roster for 2022, these five players will carry the FlyQuest banner at the start of the LCS season.
