First North American team qualifies for League of Legends Worlds

With a 3-1 victory over Cloud9 in the LCS Summer playoffs FlyQuest is the first North American roster to qualify for this year’s World Championships.

Although the LCS Summer playoffs are not over yet, FlyQuest made it to round four and gets one of the three North American slots for the LoL World Championship Series 2020. The next matches will decide which seed they get.

With the upset victory over Cloud9, they are the second team to qualify for the tournament internationally. The first one was European team Rogue who placed first in LEC 2020 Summer.

Cloud9 still has the chance to qualify. They will have to fight through two rounds in the loser’s bracket to get there, though. Their next match will be against Evil Geniuses on saturday.
