FaZe Clan president leaves and starts own organization XSET – NFL player Van Noy joins

The president of FaZe Clan Greg Selkoe decided to leave the organization behind to start one of his own, together with some other executives, under the name XSET.

The organization itself will operate out of Boston and, according to Selkoe himself, will do things differently than FaZe Clan. “We’re not just going to take on somebody because they’re popular and have big numbers. Gamers are from all walks of life and all backgrounds, but if you look at the current organizations they sort of resemble a frat house. They’re not reflective of the racial and gender diversity in the gaming world.”

XSET already has a list of players who will be joining them.aiming to compete in Call of Duty, Fortnite and VALORANT. Others also already found their way to XSET, with the linebacker of NFL team Miami Dolphins opting in and joining. 14-Year old skateboarding talent Minna Stess, part of the national U.S.A skateboarding team, also became part of the organization.

The idea for XSET is to be bigger than just the gaming scene we’re used to that exists mainly on Twitch and YouTube, with them looking to sign musicians and other artists as well. Marco Mereu, COO of XSET, explained their plans. “Gaming is no longer about YouTube and Twitch. You have to put content where they’re currently consuming it. We have a pretty robust content syndication model we’re rolling out with gameplay highlights, original content and partners in music.”
