Evil Geniuses completes CS:GO roster by adding RUSH

Evil Geniuses has finally announced all five members of its 2022 CS:GO squad, announcing the signing of RUSH. All but confirmed just weeks after the team’s loss at PGL Stockholm, the full roster has finally been realized. Evil Geniuses 2022 roster will include Cerq, Brehze, Stewie2K, Autimatic, and RUSH.

Evil Geniuses were reportedly interested in pursing Valde as the squad’s fifth member and IGL. After talks reportedly fell through, the North American squad pivoted to RUSH. The veteran player will reunite with two former teammates in this new roster, Stewie2K and Autimatic. Most notably, the trio won the ELEAGUE Boston Major in 2018 with Cloud9, becoming the first and only North American team to win a major.

RUSH is coming off of a year with Complexity. The organization completely upended its roster after transitioning to Europe for 2020 and 2021. Though removing a large majority of its North American players, the squad retained RUSH as the eventual sole NA player on the EU squad. The team made consistent progress throughout the year but ultimately failed to find any winning tournaments.

Moving to Evil Geniuses, Complexity has once again signed a majority North American team, including Grim and Floppy. Evil Geniuses are set to bootcamp in Europe prior to the start of the 2022 season, marking a return to the continent for many of Evil Geniuses’ players.

The new roster will debut in just nearly a week at the BLAST Premier Spring Group Stage, beginning on January 30th, facing their first obstacle in the new French-Danish superteam in Team Vitality.
