Format

Groups

The European Division has two separate group phases. Each plays out in a Round Robin with Best of Three Matches. In Phase One the top seed from each of the three groups immediately qualifies for the second Group phase. Places two to three have to play decider matches to determine the three other participants of groupstage 2.
In the second groupstage the first seed will advance directly to the finals. The second and third runner-ups play single Best-of-3-Match to determine the challenger in the Best-of-5-Finals.

The American Division has a different system in place as they have fewer participants. The Top 4 after a Round Robin Best of 3 Groupstage qualify for the playoffs. The playoffs play out as a double-elimination-bracket. The Top 2 will get seeded into the Winner’s Bracket Semifinals, while the others start in the Lower Bracket. After the Best of 3s in the elimination games, the grand final plays out as a Best of 5.
