ESL announces the #GGFORALL Women’s CS:GO Circuit featuring $500,000 prize pool

ESL went on to announce the GGFORALL Women’s CS:GO circuit, which is meant to make the scene a lot more stable, offering regular tournaments and competitions, regional as well as international. Regional leagues will be played online, with the best and strongest teams making it to an offline LAN final. “We strive to achieve an environment where discrimination and toxicity is removed,” ESL says. “We believe in a world where everyone has the right to enjoy the games they love, the right to play, to participate and to progress.”

Aside from organizing the competition and tournaments, ESL has also set up a Women’s Player Council and Talent Development program. “ESL Gaming will establish a women players council which will further define details around the CS:GO women’s circuit and give women a platform for more consolidated feedback towards ESL Gaming and other Tournament Organizers. One discussion point will be the integration of the women’s circuit winners into the ESL Pro Tour.”

The CS:GO Women’s Circuit will feature a total of 500,000 dollars in prize pools, spread over multiple events and online cash cups. Roberta Hernandez, the SVP of People and Culture at ESL, is looking forward to the circuit. “By providing an infrastructure equal to their male counterparts, we are thrilled to create more visibility and opportunities for women in the esports space, as well as to support them in their professional development and to help make their dreams come true.”
