Elden Ring has countless weapons that are very varied in form and gameplay. But some of them stand out from the mass as they are strong against bosses and other players too. Here are the five best weapons in Elden Ring:

Sword of Night and Flame
The Sword of Night and Flame is one of the mightiest weapons in Elden Ring. It is a straight sword, which focuse on standard and pierce damage. But the sword also scales with Intelligence and Faith in addition to Dexterity and Strength. This makes the weapon slightly weaker as only few spells and swords scale with these two attributes too.

But the big upside of the weapon is its unique weapon skill, Night-and-Flame Stance. The stance allows you to use two very strong spells. The normal attack shoots a magical beam, while the charged attack causes a flame strike. You can find the weapon in Caria Manor in the northern part of Liurnia.
Moonveil Katana
The Moonveil Katana is one of the strongest katana in Elden Ring. Especially its weapon skill Transient Moonlight deals massive damage to bosses and players alike. The weapon not only scales with Dexterity as other katana, but also with Intelligence and deals Magic damage on top.

The weapon is a great fit for casters or Dexteritiy builds, with a little bit of extra Intelligence. The normal attacks as well as the charged ones are both quite fast and deal bleeding damage on top of the magical blast. The attack also fires off a beam, massively increasing the range of the attack. You can find the weapon in Gael Tunnel in Caelid.
Blasphemous Blade
The Blasphemous Blade has a special scaling making it distinct from most Elden Ring weapons. Balanced between Strength, Dexterity and Faith, players need to focus a bit more on strength and Faith to properly utilize the weapon.

The Greatsword deals massive fire damage, burning your opponents to a crisp. You do not even need to be in melee range for that. The Blasphemous Blade can be acquired by trading in your Rykard’s Remembrance of the Blasphemous with Enia at Roundtable Hold after defeating him.
Icerind Hatchet
The Icerind Hatchet is the favourite weapon of many Speedrunners and it has become a staple in all players, trying to break the records. Right from the start the Icerind Hatchet is an excellent weapon and only has low requirements to use. Main stat to scale with is Dexterity, but you also need a bit more strength.

The truly unique thing about the Icerind Hatchet is its weapon skill: Hoarfrost Stomp. An AoE attack that also causes Frost on opponents, dealing additional damage. You can find the Icerind Hatchet at the Temple Quarter in the southwestern part of the Raya Lucarian Academy in Liurnia.
Winged Scythe
The Winged Scythe can be found very early in the game on the western part of the Weeping Peninsula in the Tombsward Ruins. The weapon’s main specialty is its scaling with Faith on top of Dexterity and Strength.

Although the weapon is available early on, you should not underestimate it. Especially in PvP its high damage and unique Angel’s Wings weapon skill. Angel’s Wings prevents enemies from using their flask of tears for a short duration on hit.
