Elden Ring – Die 5 best Sorceries in the Game

There are many different Sorceries in Elden Ring. But some are so strong that they can easily dispatch of Bosses, others are stronger against other players. Here are the five best Sorceries in Elden Ring.

Adula’s Moonblade

Usually spellcasters prefer to keep their distance, but Adula’s Moonblade offers you the change to deal massive damage in melee range. Just conjure a giant sword to smash your opponents. You do however need a lot of Intelligence to actually use it.

  • Intelligence: 32
  • FP Costs: 26
  • Slots used: 1

What makes Adula’s Moonblade so strong is that the blade deals damage from near and far. On top of that it also inflicts Frostbite. You can find the Sorcery as loot from the Glintstone Dragon Adula. You first encounter the Dragon at the Three Sisters in Liurnia. Once you bring him down to 50%, he will teleport to the Cathedral of Manus Celes in the south.

Cannon of Haima

The Cannon of Haima unleashes a mighty projectile that hits enemies after travelling in an arc. It explodes upon contact and is ideal to wipe out large numbers of enemies.

  • Intelligence: 25
  • FP Cost: 45
  • Slots used: 1

The explosion can also be useful in PvP especially if you manage to charge it up for more damage, but you need to surprise opponents with it. You can find the Sorcery early on top of Liurnia’s Converted Fringe Tower in the northeast.

Comet Azur

Comet Azur is one of the best Elden Ring Sorceries. You call down a giant comet on your opponents. It deals massive damage, even to bosses and should be part of your repertoire. You do need a large amount of attributes in Intelligence before being able to use it and it consumes three of your slots.

  • Intelligence: 60
  • FP Costs: 40
  • Slots used: 3

The spell has incredible range, which allows you to stand at a safe distance to eliminate your opponents. You can find the Sorcery in the Hermit Village at Mt. Gelmir west of Atlus Plateau. Talk to Primeval Sorcerer Azur to receive the Azur Comet Sorcery.

Meteorite of Astel

The Meteorite of Astel is a massive AoE Sorcery that deals high damage to bosses and mobs alike. You call down a rain of meteorites to pepper the area in front of you. Requirements are expectedly higher for this Sorcery as it occupies two of your slots and has high FP costs.

  • Intelligence: 55
  • FP costs: 60
  • Slots used: 2

The biggest strength of this Sorcery is the quick speed at which it is casted. Which allows you to use it even in PvP. Access to Meteorite of Astel comes rather late as you need to defeat the boss Astel in the Yelough Anix Tunnel, located in the western part of the Mountaintops of the Giants.

Ranni’s Dark Moon

Ranni’s Dark Moon summons a moon to launch at your opponets for massive damage and an explosion. Drawbacks of the Sorcery are its high FP costs and strict Intelligence requirement.

  • Intelligence: 68
  • FP Cost: 62
  • Slots used: 2

The main benefit of this Sorcery are the invulnerability frames towards the end of its animation. You can acquire the Incantation on top of the tower in Chelona’s Rise in southwestern Liurnia. To reach that location you need to have advanced through Ranni’s questline far enough.
