The Bandit is an old staple of the Dark Souls series and returns to Elden Ring. Its main strengths in Elden Ring are finding items and eliminating enemies from the shadows. You can also build your Bandit into a fearsome ranged character, here is an overview of the class in Elden Ring.
Discovery and Stealth
The class starts with the highest Arcane attribute (14) among all the starting classes. That stat not only boosts some of your spells, but it also improves your Discovery stat, which improves your chance of finding items on defeated enemies.
Another focus stat of the class is Dexterity. Coupled with the starting Great Knife, Bandits can strike rapidly in melee right from the beginning. Your shortbow also allows you to pick-off opponents from the distance. Should you choose to keep focusing on those weapons, improve your Dexteritiy as you level up.
If you are a friend of stealth gameplay, you should definitely pick up Bandit. As you can actually fade to the shadows now in this game you are now able to backstab mobs to eliminate them quickly. But for bosses you still need to face them head-on.
Main attributes for Bandits should be Dexterity and Vigor. Dexterity for your weapons, while improved Vigor will help you be more durable in fights.
