We finally got some more information about the upcoming E3 event of 2021, which is to be fully virtual and online.
E3 came out with an announcement about the upcoming event, with it being fully online and catered to everyone. It’s to feature live press conferences and a four-day long video stream from June 12 until June 15. “E3 2021 is embracing the future and showcasing the video game industry with an all-virtual event that will engage everyone, everywhere,” E3 said. “This year’s event will be a reimagined and hyper-engaged digital experience, paving the way for so much more in 2022 and beyond.”

When it comes to exhibitors who will be showcasing their new projects, Xbox, Nintendo, Ubisoft, Capcom, Konami, Take-Two Interactive, Koch Media and Warner Bros. Games have already confirmed they’ll be attending. As for now, there’s been no word on participation from big parties such as Sony, EA and Activision Blizzard. Especially Sony’s absence isn’t particularly strange, as they’ve not participated in E3 anymore since 2019.
E3 2021 will also feature co-streaming which will enable you to watch along with your favorite streamers, while also promising there’ll be numerous interactive activities you as a fan will be able to take part in over the course of the livestream. More details are expected to come out in the following month.
