Doublelift will be taking a break from League of Legends solo queue following burnout

Former LCS veteran Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng has become one of the biggest League of Legends streamers in the game right now following his retirement from the LCS, but we might get to see a little less League of Legends content from him in the near future. In a new YouTube video he talks about quitting League of Legends solo queue for a while, citing burnout from grinding as a big reason.

Doublelift says he isn’t having fun playing solo queue anymore and that the game right now just makes him depressed and anxious. “I’m so depressed when I play solo queue, it’s obvious I hate it, I’m just not having fun. […] I’m just thinking that I don’t want to play solo queue, I don’t want to play League of Legends, I just don’t want to play, I have nothing to play for.”

That wasn’t the only reason Doublelift wanted to step away from League of Legends, as he says his girlfriend Leena Xu had a health issue recently which made him less inclined to stream. In any case, it looks like Doublelift will be taking an extensive break from League of Legends for now and it’s unclear when we’ll get to see him play again.
