Gamers without borders launch a massive charity event in Dota 2. Eight of the world’s best teams compete for $1.5 Million for a charity of their choice approved by Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center.

Beneficiaries of the prize will be organisations committed to fighting the current COVID-19 pandemic. The current list of known groups include the following: United Nations Children’s Fund, Direct Relief, and Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance.

Eight of Dota 2’s best

For the charity event Gamers without Borders has invited eight of the scene’s best teams to duke it out. Since the tournament will be run online the teams are focused on the greater European region. But with such a strong region the event will not have to compromise on the quality of the attendees.

Not only the recent WePlay! Pushka Champions Team Secret will be in attendance, almost the entire Top 8 of the last league in Europe will be competing. Additionally TI-Champions OG as well as runner-ups Nigma will complete the lineup.

The event will start on Friday, May 15th, and run until Sunday, May 17th.
