Dignitas to drop their roster after VCT Challengers event

After months of lackluster placement, Dignitas have partially exited the VALORANT scene by dropping their men’s roster.

It became apparent that Dignitas was intent on making a roster change earlier in the week as the organization announced their decision to bench Harrison “psalm” Change. After cutting one of Dignitas’ mainstays, the organization brought on GianFranco “koalanoob” Potestio. A former Fortnite World Cup contender, koalanoob made his start in VALORANT playing under Big Frames before his incredibly short stint with Dignitas.

This new iteration of the roster made their debut in the most recent NSG monthly tournament, though once again found a disappointing finish as they failed to make it past the round of 16. Losing out to Ghost Gaming, many have speculated that this final loss was the final straw in their ultimate decision to cut the entire team.

Dignitas mentioned in their announcement post that they intend to remain in the VALORANT scene in regards to VCT Game Changers where they will continue to support their women’s roster. Whether or not Dignitas intend to return to VALORANT and field another roster, similar to Equinox, remains to be seen.

Even though the roster has been dropped, Dignitas will still play out their spot in the upcoming Challengers qualifier, and though any success here will obviously be limited for the organization, it may be a good chance for these impending free agents to advertise themselves. Harrison “psalm” Chang, GianFranco “koalanoob”, Rory “dephh” Jackson, Hunter “BabyJ” Schline, and Ryan “ryann” Welsh will all be left teamless by the end of this event.
