Dignitas announced they’ll be benching CS:GO players Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund and Richard “Xizt” Landström and removing them from the active CS:GO roster. The decision was apparently made after the roster was not able to live up to the expectations of the fans.
In a statement Dignitas posted to Twitter they announced the decision and explained it a little more. “Our recent results have not lived up to our fans’ expectations and after discussing with all of our players, we agreed this is the correct step moving forward.” the organization said.

After thanking both GeT_RiGhT and Xizt for their support and work, Dignitas also revealed they’ll be looking for new players to fill out their roster. They will be updating fans as soon as new information becomes available. “We will have news early next week about the direction of our team while we start the search for two new players. Currently the Dignitas squad consists of Håkon “hallzerk” Fjærli, Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg and Adam “friberg” Friberg.
After a lot of back and forth between the team and I, we believe this is the correct decision. I have long been thinking about my path and along with my current health condition, it was clear that now was the time to make a change. https://t.co/dyuVdVELws

GeT_RiGhT also took to Twitter to talk about his benching and why he thinks it was a necessary step for him and the organization. “After a lot of back and forth between the team and I, we believe this is the correct decision. I have long been thinking about my path and along with my current health condition, it was clear that now was the time to make a change.”
