Diablo II: Resurrected
Headliner of this year’s event was the official announcement of Diablo 2: Resurrected. The RPG classic from 2000 will receive a remake and will release 2021.
The remake will feature updated graphics and a re-rendering of the game’s cutscenes, and will support cross-progression between the different platforms among other quality of life improvements.
Diablo IV – Rogue revealed
For even more Diablo news Blizzard has revealed the Rogue as fourth class in the upcoming Diablo IV.
But there were also plenty of other announcements besides the Diablo franchise.
World of Warcraft Shadowlands: Chains of Domination
World of Warcraft’s next update will be titled Chains of Domination and continues the Shadowlands storyline. It will introduce a new area of The Maw, Korthia, as well as a brand new raid zone: Sanctum of Domination
In the new raid players will be taking the attck to the Jailer’s doorstep and face against 10 bosses including Kel’Thuzad and Sylvanas. Torghast will also be expanded with new wings, floors and more. Patch 9.1 will also introduce a new Mega Dugeon: Tazavesh, the Veiled Market.
But there was more for Warcraft as Blizzard also announced World of WarCraft Classic expanding to become Burning Crusade Classic.
It will release in 2021 with a Beta “coming soon” and re-introduce the players to Outland together with Draenei and Blood Elves as new races.
Heartstone – Forged in the Barrens
Hearthstone’s new expansion is called Forged in the Barrens and will introduce a new “Classic” format along other new modes and cards.
The new “Mercenaries” mode will also feature “highly replayable, roguelike mission” that should bring a new twist to the ever popular card game.
Nostalgia alert – Blizzard Arcade Collection
Blizzard also announced enhanced version of their earliest games. The Lost Vikings, Rock n’ Roll Racing and Blackthorne are getting remastered “definitive” versions with new features. Fans can buy all three in a bundle for $20 or through the Blizzard 30 year anniversary collection, which includes it.
